Bottom line up front: it's not for everyone.

Descript is the 80% solution, jack-of-all-trades tool.

It's beauty is in it's ability to do what previously would have required 10+ different softwares.

Here at Descript Mastery, we use Descript 100% from end-to-end in creating all our videos and course content.

Here's what we don't need because we use Descript:

  • Sharing/Collaboration (Frame.io, Loom, Vimeo, etc)
  • Stock media (Shutterstock, Unsplash, etc)
  • Transcription tools (Otter, TranscribeMe, etc)
  • AI Voice tools (ElevenLabs, Sythesia, etc)
  • Screen recording (Camtasia, OBS, etc)
  • Remote recording (Zoom, Riverside, etc)
  • Audio editing (Auphonic, Logic Pro, Audacity, etc)
  • Video editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, etc)
  • AI Script (ChatGPT, Claude, etc)
  • AI Show notes (Castmagic and 5,000 other startsup)
  • Audio Restoration (iZotope RX, Adobe Audtion, etc)
  • And many, many others!
