Meet the Descript Master
I'm Ross Zeiger, and I help businesses and individuals succeed with the most powerful communication tool on earth: video.
The problem is that video editing is a low-leverage activity. You're better off spending your time coming up with ideas, writing scripts, and filming. Let me handle the editing for you.
FAQs
What software do you use?
Descript. It lets us edit spoken-word content about 4x faster than traditional editing software, so you get faster turnarounds and more for your money.
Descript is limited on motion graphics, animations and color grading, so we're not the right fit if you want motion graphics or cinematic edits.
Can I see your portfolio?
The best way to see my work is on my own and my clients' YouTube channels. Tell me your industry and I'll show you examples in your industry or style.
- Tutorial and screen recording: Descript Made Easy
- Remote podcast: Verecan Capital Management
- Talking head and teaching: Guardian Due Diligence
Can you produce a podcast?
Yes, using Descript's remote recording tool, Rooms.
- Before the interview: I give you and your guests a technical briefing.
- During the interview: I'm in the background making sure everyone can be seen and heard, and I troubleshoot if anything goes wrong.
- After the interview: I edit the raw files and turn the interview into a polished product.
Can you help me with filming too?
Yes. Some clients have flown me out to their location to film and edit on site. Get in touch if that's of interest.
What type of videos can you edit?
I specialize in:
- Podcasts (audio and video)
- Talking head educational content for YouTube
- Courses
Because of Descript's limits as software, if you want cinematic or "high-dopamine" edits, I'm not the right fit.
Can you just teach me Descript?
Yes. Learn more about my tutoring, or take the Descript Made Easy course.
